Misplaced Brit.

The Countdown Begins.

This coming Saturday I fly back home to the UK for a few weeks.  I have to renew my passport.  Stupidly, when I checked my passport, I read the last two numbers wrong, and when I double checked, I realized it had already expired.  Yikes!  Now what? Read the rest of this entry »

Mr And Mrs – Our Wedding.

Posted by: retardedrugrat on: June 22, 2009

We finally did it! On saturday the 20th of June (and the busiest wedding weekend of the year according to our marriage commisioner!) I became Mrs Vickers, loving wife of Jeff, my partner of five years.

Its been a long five years, and at times, I wondered if we’d ever make it down the aisle. It seemed that every time we started planning, something happened, and our carefully scrimped savings had to go towards something else – like the car. But finally, we made it, and I’d like to share a few photos of our big day with you. Read the rest of this entry »

The Final 24 Hours.

Posted by: retardedrugrat on: June 19, 2009

I’m certain that most of you don’t know what in the hell this post title is all about lol.

This will be my final post as Miss Randle, and my final post for a little while on here.  Jeff and I are getting married tomorrow morning at 10am.  After 5 years we’re finally tying the knot and becoming joined as one.  I’m so excited, but also so nervous that I feel sick lol. Caving in made me feel so guilty.

Posted by: retardedrugrat on: June 8, 2009

So I caved.  I hit the 19 hour mark and I caved.  The withdrawals were so intense I felt physically sick, and oh boy was I ever a bitch!  I coudn’t sit still, I was snapping at Jeffers, and in the end, he got frustrated with me and we had a huge all out argument that just made me feel even worse. Day One – Been here before.

Posted by: retardedrugrat on: June 7, 2009

So, I’m up to just over 9 hours without a smoke, and though I’m not doing too badly, the restlessness is starting to creep in a little bit.  This is what I’ve been trying to mentally prepare for, so that I don’t go mad before the day is out. Read the rest of this entry »

Mentally Preparing.

Posted by: retardedrugrat on: June 6, 2009

Last night while I soaked my knee in the bath (long story, I screwed it up pretty good), I reflected on where my life, and health in general, is going. I lost a very good friend of mine last week, and that’s had a profound effect on me this week, with not being able to sleep so well, and just hit me like a ton of bricks. Its been too long.

Posted by: retardedrugrat on: May 25, 2009

Its been waaaay too long since I last posted here – but for once, I do have a good excuse. For the last 4 – 5 weeks (though it seems much longer) I’ve been without my PC. I’d known deep down for a while that my power pack needed replacing, but kept putting it off and putting it off, till it finally gave up the ghost and fried my entire system. Joy. Post Tubal Ligation Syndrome Awareness on Facebook.

Posted by: retardedrugrat on: May 14, 2009

As many of you know, I suffer with a condition known as PTLS.  I still receive comments to a post I did about this condition three years ago, on this same blog.  At last count, the comments were at 184, all but a couple of them were from women saying “Thank you for proving to me that I’m not going mad!

To that extent, I’m always looking for ways to get the word out about PTLS.  I needed a way that would reach a lot of women without them needing to have a blogger account, or have a MySpace account, but yet find support and information easily accessible.  You’d think on the internet that this would be easy.  For days I’ve pored over the question, willing myself to come up with the answer that seemed to be just at the tip of my tongue. I hate Don Cherry

Posted by: retardedrugrat on: April 30, 2009

There is something that I just find utterly repulsive about Don Cherry.  Sure the guy used to be an NHL coach, and I’m sure in his day, he was good.  But now, he’s past it.  As a commentator on TV, a Hockey commentator no less, he’s alarmingly biased and racist. Read the rest of this entry »

Beautiful BC.

Posted by: retardedrugrat on: April 27, 2009

The sun is shining brightly down, and there’s not a cloud in the sky. The birds are singing as they flit from tree to tree, whose boughs are heavy with cherry blossom in full bloom. The scent hangs heavy on the air and drifts in through the open window.

This is the BC that I know and love so much. It’s warm and sunny, people are cheerful, and strangers are more likely to return your smile on the streets.

This is BC, and spring has arrived.
